It is hard to believe that January isn’t all that far from being wrapped up. This winter is flying by, snow or no snow. We had a great time at the Log and Timber Home show a couple of weekends ago and are now looking forward to the next show which is the Lake Home and Cabin Show at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The dates of the show are Feb. 10 through 12. The Lake Home and Cabin Show is a great show to attend. There is everything from furnishings, realtors, log home companies, log home builders to dock companies and so much more. In other words, there is something there for the ones thinking of building a log home all the way to the ones that have had a cabin for many years and are just looking for some decorating ideas, furnishings or maybe a new dock. You can find out more information at the Lake Home and Cabin Show website. You can find us in the Stevens Point Log Homes booth which is #801. Mark the calendar down for that weekend and stop in and see us. Until then, feel free to give a call with any questions. You can see more information on Minnesota log homes on our website.
It is hard to believe but next weekend brings us the first log home show of 2012. January 13-15th is the Log and Timber Home show at the Earl Brown Heritage Center. Wild River Log Homes will be at the show. We’ll be in booth #31 which is the Stevens Point Log Homes booth.
Log homes show are a great way to talk to all the regional log home companies at one time. However, shows like this can get overwhelming and some end up in information overload. Quite a few will narrow some choices down by researching log home companies online before attending the show. If you are undecided towards full log or half log construction while attending the show just keep an open mind and make your own decision. Some will tell you half log is the way to go, others will say full log is the only way to go. Which one is better? Well, that is up to you to decide. One or the other may be better for you but not the next person. Make sure the company or companies you are talking with at the show offer custom log home design service and also have full service log home builder support in the area that you will be building in. Also, don’t hesitate to sit down and take a break. It isn’t a bad idea to walk away from the exhibits for awhile and take a few minutes to sort out the information. If you get time, check out the blog I wrote last month that has some tips for attending the upcoming Minneapolis log home show.
The website for the Log and Timber Home show has show hours and online discount coupons. Make sure you stop by booth #31 and say hello.
